Air Optix by Nurse Becca

Product Review

Do you know anyone who wears contact lenses?

Air Optix Day& Night contacts by Alcon brand can be ordered online or in person at Walmart and shipped right to your door. My box came in 5 days, and here are some benefits:

  • Better peripheral vision
  • Comfortable to wear
  • Contacts do not get scratched like glasses do
  • Contacts do not fog in the storms
  • Feels safer for night driving

Caring for them is quite easy, I recommend following instructions closely to prevent infections in your eyes.

Always wash your hands!

Quick Tips:

  • Clean your hands thoroughly prior to touching, detail to under fingernails and around nail beds.
  • Use a paper towel to turn off the faucet.
  • The solution also has to be changed daily if you decide to go back to glasses intermittently.
  • Using hand sanitizer will burn the heck out of eyes, only use if no soap is obtainable and ut may help to rinse hands afterward to reduce the eye fire of doom.

SERVICE NOTES:

The experience of service at the Walmart optical was fantastic. They were able to find out how to bill my insurance, saving me a ton of money. I got an exam for contacts and glasses, and the courtesy was truly the best service.

With a slight astigmatism, it can be very difficult to find comfortable contact lenses, so I had to share this particular product to let everyone know!

If you already have a prescription, you can also order online.

I can see clearly now!

  1. I wore contact lenses for 20 years and I can totally relate to the ‘eye fire of doom’ after cleaning my hands with a sanitiser..!

I live in Hong Kong, where we have consistently high humidity in the summer heat. Walking out of an air-conditioned building in the Summer immediately causes spectacles to fog up – very irritating..! So contact lenses offer a major benefit here.

Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on your point of view!) I had a double cataract operation some months ago so I now no longer need contacts, but I would recommend that anyone living in a high humidity area tries them.

    Cheers,

    Martin.

  2. Great review. I have never worn contact lens before but it has become so popular from substituting for eyeglasses to changing the color of your eyes. Thanks for the insight which I am sure will be a good help to so many people.

  3. Becca,
Wonderful review! I have worn contacts for over ten years, and have struggled ever since then to find a brand that is actually comfortable throughout the day! I, too, have a slight astigmatism, and have really had quite a time with dryness, itching, and general uncomfortability. Thank you for reviewing a brand that I have not yet tried! May have to check them out!

  4. You are quite welcome, of course, Darci. I am researching building an affiliate link for purchase on my website. If you try them, please let me know what you think. It’s no fun fighting with contacts, or one popping out while driving can make a slight astigmatism a large problem.
    Warm Regards,
